Notice Issued By UIDAI To 'Illegal' Aadhaar Card Holders
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) which issues Aadhaar (12 digit unique number) has issued notice to illegal holders. UIDAI's Hyderabad office on Tuesday sent notices to 127 people for allegedly obtaining Aadhaar numbers on "false pretenses".
Police input made UIDAI issue notice in name of these 127 peoples. On preliminary inquiry, it was found that the 127 people are illegal immigrants. As per UIDAI, they are not qualified to obtain an Aadhaar number.. .Read More
